Thank you for sharing this recipe. I needed a good burger recipe in a hurry, therefore I didn't have all the ingredients but the result was...DELICIOUS! Used about 1/2 cups of grated cheddar, Filipino Soy Sauce, 4tbsp grated Parmesan Cheese, 1/8tsp crushed red pepper flakes, 1/4cp Sweet Red Onion, 1/4cp Bermuda Onion, 1tsp kosher salt, 1/2tsp sugar, 1/2tsp seasoned salt & two cloves of minced garlic. I omitted the onion soup, garlic powder, ground basil and rosemary. Mix and taste ingredients together before adding meat so you can adjust flavor according to your palate. Cooked on BBQ (I like a little charring) added slice of cheddar, lettuce, tomato and condamints...it was very yummy. Also toast inside of buns on BBQ. Good luck.
My husband and I both agree that this is the best burger we have ever eaten. They were so very juicy and flavorful. We had an unexpected storm so I had to cook them on stove top. I did make two small changes. After adding the fresh garlic I decided to leave out the garlic powder. I also used only half the package of onion soup mix as we are watching our salt intake. We will be making these again very soon. We also plan on having them the next time our kids visit.
This seasoning mixture will give your basic burgers a wonderful flavor.
I love onion ON my burger but I think the onion soup mix was way too much for a burger, and I thought it was a little too salty as well. My husband would not eat them after his first bite.
